Nigeria: Eberechi Eze Not Rushing To Play For Super Eagles

Diamond Hub 101 - Eberechi Eze Not Rushing To Play For Super Eagles

Eberechi Eze, Queens Park Rangers midfielder, recently stated that he was not rushing to make a decision about his international future, Diamond Hub 101 reports.

In March 2017, the 21-year-old has trained with the Super Eagles of Nigeria but went ahead to debut for England's U-20 team in a 2-1 win against Italy.

The midfielder has also played for The Three Lions U-21 team. However, he is still eligible to play for Nigeria.

On The Beautiful Game podcast, Eze takes about how privileged he would be to play for both sides...

I don’t want to make a rash decision, as much as it would be a privilege to play for either. It would be a great honor.

The QPR midfielder also stated that he and his parents made contact with the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, in December.

I spoke to them. But again, I am just enjoying my football right now and I don’t want any added pressure on my mindset. I don’t want to focus on the wrong things. I want to focus on what has got me to this position, continue doing it and wherever it takes me, it takes me.
