Sports: Rangers Manager Praises Joe Aribo

Joe Aribo has received praise from Rangers boss, Steven Gerard, in their 3-0 win against Hibernian, Diamond Hub 101 reports.

Aribo's form was in top-notch during the away match which allowed him to get the praises of Gerard.

Ryan Kent opened the scoreline against Hibernian just 8 minutes into the first half before Joe Aribo and Jermain Defoe scored the second and third goals respectively.

The former Liverpool player said the Nigeria international played with a lot of desire and also talked about his goal...

Joe chasing a lost cause shows what he is all about. He is not just a fantastic technical player, he’s got grit, he’s got desire. Our second goal was all about Ryan Kent and Joe Aribo, fantastic goal, good team goal and that gave us a bigger lead which was nice.

The Rangers manager shared more light on why he substituted Kent and the Super Eagles player...

The lads I took off Kent and Aribo, they’ve gone a lot of minutes of late. A lot of Europa League football and domestic football so it was wise to just give them some oxygen and give some other people an opportunity. Now we’ve got a couple of down days and we’ve got six days to prepare for Kilmarnock which we know what that will be about.

This win has put the below Celtic in their league table.
