SPORTS: AKANNI URGES SUPER EAGLES COACH TO GET GOOD PLAYERS FOR BRAZIL CLASH


Former Super Eagles defender, Waidi Akanni, has urged Rohr to invite good players for their friendly match on the 13th of October as he believes they will gain from it. This match is scheduled to take place in Singapore.

According to Soccernet.ng,  Akanni said this match would strengthen the players ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin in 2021.

The ex-international advised the head coach, Gernot Rohr, to call up the best players for the game against Brazil in order to establish more understanding and unity among them...



“The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has done well by sealing the Brazil friendly on October 13. I want to believe this friendly will go a long way in helping the players ahead of the big game against Benin in the 2021 AFCON qualifier. I feel so elated that Nigeria will be playing Brazil again and I hope the Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr will invite some of the best players to prosecute the game against Brazil."

“To be frank, we need more of this grade ‘A’ friendly game in order to toughen our players. Mind you, Brazil will be parading the likes of Neymar, Gabriel Jesus, Coutinho, and co against Nigeria and you can expect nothing but an exciting encounter.”
