SPORTS: JOHN MCGINN MIGHT JOIN MANCHESTER UNITED

Aston Villa midfielder, John McGinn, might be signing a contract for Manchester United in January.

This was made known to the football world by Noel Whelan who confirmed that the Red Devils have been watching the player since the start of the season.

The Scotland international has been in good form since the new season began even though Aston Villa had a slow start. Dean Smith made sure he was in the starting eleven in their games.

It was also confirmed after the midfielder had also signed a five-year contract with Villa but Man United's boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is still planning to get him to Old Trafford when the January transfer window opens.

Noel Whelan had this to say about McGinn to the Football Insider...

“He’s Villa’s one shining light. When you watch Villa, McGinn is the best player in every game. He is involved in everything and is a fantastic player. That is why Man United are looking at him for January. That’s what I’ve been told. They’re scouting him. I think Man United could do with someone like McGinn. He would be far better for them than someone like Juan Mata.”

The Villa playmaker was also recommended by Sir Alex Ferguson as he hopes his former club would get him.
