Champions League: Real Madrid And PSG Manager To Miss Vital Players In UEFA Champions League Opener

Real Madrid and PSG would be playing their first UEFA Champions League match without some of their key players on Wednesday due to suspension and injury.

Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani have been ruled out for PSG because of injury. Neymar would also not be available for the Parisians as he was given two games suspension after he verbally attacked the referees in their match against Manchester United in the previous UEFA competition.

The Vikings also confirmed that Marcelo, Isco, Modric, Asensio and Fede Valverde would not be part of the squad playing their first UEFA match on Wednesday. Due to suspension, Sergio Ramos and Nacho Fernandez would also be out. Ferland Mendy would be replacing Marcelo for Real Madrid as no date was given as to when he would be back.

Mbappe confirms the news of his absence on Twitter...

It is now official. I will not start our European campaign at home against Real Madrid. I am very sad not to be able to play, but I will give the team all the support I can from the stands. I still hope to return at 100 percent and to give my best, as always.

What would PSG and Real Madrid's starting XI look like?
