Champions League: Rudiger, Emerson And Kante Out Of Action For Chelsea

Frank Lampard confirmed that Antonio Rudiger, Emerson Palmieri, and N’Golo Kante are not available Chelsea in their match with Valencia in the UEFA Champions League which starts tomorrow. Kante is out with an ankle problem. Emerson is also going to be unavailable because of a hamstring strain.

Antonio Rudiger, who just recovered from a knee injury sustained another one in his groin as he slipped on some metal on Saturday. The German defender would be undergoing a scan and the coach hopes he will come back soon.

Lampard had this to say about Antonio...

Toni is injured. He bothered a small groin problem he’s been carrying for a couple of weeks and he’s out. He will have a scan later and see where he’s at. Hopefully it’s not long term.

Hudson-Odoi and James are both recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon and an ankle injury respectively. The Chelsea coach said that Kante, Hudson-Odoi and Reece James were fit but not "match fit.”
