AFCON: Cameroon, Egypt, DR Congo, And Guinea Lose Their Place In The CAF Tournament

The match pitting Nigeria against Cameroon was really an interesting game to watch. Ex Nigerian and Cameroonian football stars, Kanu Nwankwo and Samuel Eto, were present to witness the beautiful match. It ended with three goals to two in favor of Nigeria's Super Eagles with the help of Odion Ighalo, who scored the first and second goal, and also Arsenal's player, Alex Iwobi.

Stephane Bahoken and Clinton N'Jie both scored a goal for Cameroon but, to their demise, it was not enough to stop the Eagles. Ex-football star, Kanu Nwankwo was filled with joy as his national team succeeded in making it to the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations.

The host of this year's AFCON competition also suffered a devastating loss in the hands of South Africa. Their game ended with only one goal which was scored by South Africa's Thembinkosi Lorch 5 minutes to stoppage time of the game. The Egypt supporters were all devastated since they expected more from the players in the match.

Madagascar succeeded in booking a place in the AFCON Quarter Finals for the first time as they were able to win their match against Congo DR through penalties. Before the penalty shootout, Ibrahim Amada and Faneva Andriatsima scored for Madagascar while Cedric Bakambu and Chancel Mbemba scored for Congo which made it two goals each for both teams.

Guinea was knocked out of the AFCON competition by Algeria in a match that ended with three goals scored by Youcef Belaili followed by Riyad Mahrez and Adam Ounas.

Today, we would be witnessing two wonderful matches! Mali would go against Cote d'Ivoire by 5 pm and Ghana would face Tunisia by 8 pm.
