SPORTS: MORE GOALS IN THE AFCON TOURNAMENT


It is raining goals in the African Cup of Nations competition. The players are all showing off their skills to make their country get the title this year. South Africa lost to Morocco in the football match which ended with only one goal. Mbark Boussoufa scored the only goal in the final minutes of the match.

Cote d'Ivoire showed Namibia that they were in the competition to win as Max Gradel, Serey Die, Wilfried Zaha and M. Cornet scored the winning goals for Cote d'Ivoire.

Kenya had no chance against Senegal. The match ended with a score of three goals to nothing. Ismaila Sarr scored the first goal in the second half and Sadio Mane topped it up with two wonderful goals. P. Otieno was shown a Red card in the 76th minute.

The match between Tanzania and Algeria was in Algeria's favor as they ended the game with three goals. The first was scored in the 34th minute by Islam Slimani which was followed by Adam Ounas' goals.

Benin and Mauritania settled to a draw with Cameroon and Tunisia since they could not outshine each other. Ghana won the match against Guinea Bissau with two goals from Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey. Angola lost their match with only one goal to Mali. A. Haidara was the hero of that match.
