SPORTS: CÔTE D'IVOIRE AND MALI WIN THEIR MATCH AS TUNISIA AND ANGOLA SETTLE FOR A DRAW IN AFCON 2019


South Africa lost their first in this African Cup of Nations competition against Cote d'Ivoire! The match was a difficult one but Cote d'Ivoire still managed to come out strong when P. Kodjia slotted the ball into the net 64 minutes in the game and he was assisted by M. Gradel! Côte d'Ivoire would be very happy with this result he has given them a good start in the competition.
WATCH HIGHLIGHT

Tunisia and Angola decided to settle for a draw as none of them could score a winning goal. It was a match full of some entertaining football action. Y. Msakni scored the first goal for Tunisia through a penalty while Djalma equalized 73 minutes in the game.

Mauritania suffered a loss in the hands of Mali in a match that ended with four goals to one. The names of Abdoulay Diaby, M. Marega, Adama Traoré, and Adama Traore II scored the winning goals for Mali and M. El Hacen scored the only goal for Mauritania through a penalty which was awarded by the referee 72 minutes into the game.

By 6pm today, Cameroon would be battling with Guinea Bissau and Ghana would be going head to head with Benin by 9pm.

Cameroon and Guinea Bissau have never played against each other in an AFCON competition. Cameroon has won 25 matches, lost 9 and drawn 9 AFCON matches since 1998. Guinea Bissau has no wins, 2 losses and 1 draw in the AFCON competition since their appearance in 2017.

Ghana would be going head to head against Benin and this would be their first time playing each other in the competition. Ghana has 25 wins, 19 losses and 5 draws in the African Cup of Nation competition since 1998. Benin has not won any matches, lost 8 and drawn 1 match in the AFCON competition since 2004.
